Terms of Service
Last updated: April 20, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Q-Root ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
2. Description of Service
Q-Root is a standardised exception and error management platform. The Service provides tools for capturing, categorising, assigning, tracking, and resolving exceptions and errors across your systems, with SLA enforcement, role-based access control, and team collaboration features.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
4. Free Trial
New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with Professional-tier access. No credit card is required for the trial. At the end of the trial, you may subscribe to a paid plan or continue with Basic-tier features.
5. Subscriptions & Billing
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on your chosen billing cycle.
- Prices are displayed in GBP (£) and are exclusive of any applicable taxes.
- Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
- You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Refunds
If you are not satisfied within the first 14 days of a paid subscription, contact us for a full refund. After 14 days, no refunds are provided, but you may cancel at any time.
7. Your Data
- You retain all rights to your data.
- Q-Root's hybrid architecture means your raw exception and error logs remain on your own infrastructure.
- We do not access your customer database for any purpose other than providing the Service.
- You are responsible for ensuring your database credentials and connection details are accurate and secure.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Share your account credentials with unauthorised third parties
9. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects Service availability, and will provide reasonable notice when possible.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Q-Root shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Your data on your own infrastructure is unaffected.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Contact
For questions about these Terms, contact us at legal@qroot.io or via the contact form.
